My favorite bible verse at the moment…

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [Him], for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and [that] He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

This verse shines light to both sides of the relationship with God. He knows that there is an effort on our end due to the fact that we cannot physically see Him and so faith becomes a requirement. What is so great about God is that not only does He want us to believe in Him, his promises are that He will reward us for doing so—and doing so diligently. Important word here: diligence. We do many things diligently. We complain diligently. We doubt diligently. We worry dilgently. We fear diligently. But do we seek Him diligently?

Seeking God is not something that you want to do half-heartedly. That is why diligence is key here in this verse because anyone can believe in God, actually many people do believe that there is a God, but eternal salvation comes from a personal relationship with God and acceptance that Jesus is Lord and the only way to the Father. Simply believing would allow every breathing person on earth to live as they choose without making God #1 and still get into Heaven and so this verse makes it clear that we must seek him at a higher level. Diligently. As if He is the most important person in our lives and deserves the most of our time. I believe He does.
